HOW DO I PREPARE MY RIDE FOR A PHOTO SHOOT?
Detail, detail and detail! Wash and polish your car, truck or bike on the day of the shoot. Black the tires, clean the windows, wash the dash and vacuum the interior. Make that baby gleam and shine at her best!
Don't worry if there are scratches or defects on the paint, I can fix that in post-processing. The most important part is the cleaning and detailing. If the car is covered in dust and mud, it's hard to make her look shiny and new.
CAN I BE IN SOME OF THE PHOTOS TOO?
Absolutely yes. Some of the coolest, most amazing automotive photos show their owners standing proudly beside
their rides. We can also arrange for a glamorous model to pose with your ride.
HOW LONG WILL MY PHOTO SHOOT TAKE?
Shoots usually take two hours from start to finish. We'll do a rolling/chase set and finish with a set of static shots at an interesting location in Edmonton.
WHAT IS A ROLLING SHOT?
A "rolling" or "chase" shot
is a term to describe a photo created by having two cars in moving at the same relative speed. Because the camera and car are moving at the same rate, the wheels, road and the background are moving while the camera's shutter is open. Therefore, these photos show the car with moving wheels on a blurred, speeding road and motion-blurred background.
This type of photo looks very exciting and fast! When we shoot your rolling shots, you'll be driving your vehicle at approximately 60 km/h alongside my driver in the chase car. Here are a couple "rolling" examples:
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE BEFORE I SEE MY PHOTOS?
On average, I am able to generate the final results in 3 to 5 days. I like working on automotive photos. After our shoot, I rate and select the best images. Then I perform some post-processing to make each file into an impressive, dramatic, energized photo.
WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE FOR PRINTING MY PHOTOS?
The Digital Only photo packages include print-ready files and the Digital and Poster Print photo packages include one 16"
x 20" full-color canvas print. If you would like to purchase different prints, we can make different arrangements after you see the photos from your shoot. I use an affordable printer that produces excellent quality prints. I have some great samples to show if you have questions about printing.

We take your shiny, gorgeous automobile out to an interesting locale in or near Edmonton and shoot a set of
photos where the car is not moving (i.e. static).
Time required for shoot: approximately one hour
- - DIGITAL ONLY OPTION: 10 color corrected, digitally processed images (two copies of each photo – one high-resolution print-ready file and one smaller file for you to post on the web)

PACKAGE 2 "RACE PHOTOS"
- rolling/chase shots and static shots
We hit the streets with your ride and shoot a set of rolling action shots before heading to an interesting locale and shooting a set of static shots.
Time required for shoot: approximately two hours

PACKAGE 3 "ACTION PHOTOS"

I've recently discovered a new form of automotive photography which uses a rig to attach the camera to the body of the car. This makes it possible to keep the car and camera in the same relative position and make impossible-looking photos with incredible high speed blur effects. This summer I will put together my own camera rig and start practicing my own rig shots. That's the plan, anyway. I'll keep you posted on my progress!
PRINTING AND DESIGN SERVICES
PRINTING
It's easy to get extra prints of your photos. Prints can range from 4"x6" for your photo album to large canvas or poster size prints for your wall. Printing photos is inexpensive and easy to do. Talk to me about what kind of prints you'd like to have done!
POSTER DESIGN
I am very experienced in print and poster design. If you'd like a poster done to show off your vehicle with a logo, badge, message, collage or other design, please ask me and find out how this can be accomplished!
ALBUM DESIGN
We can design and print a hardcover book to showcase your automotive photos. These hardcover albums are a great way to show an in-depth photographic record and written stories about:
- the gleaming, beautiful details of your car's interior and exterior
- a classic or vintage restoration project
- a performance upgrade or customization
