Photographer Nathan Smith, based in Edmonton, Alberta - email nathan@nsphoto.net.
Thank you for visiting this site and checking out my work! I started being interested in photography while shooting images for some small web sites I was developing while working in Nova Scotia. I spent more and more time learning, shooting and digitally editing pictures and now I am a "proficient" photographer. I don't think it's possible to know all there is to know about photography – I regularly stumble upon a new photographic technique or practice being used by my photographer friends and contacts on the web. It's a fun process!
I shoot automotive, fashion, glamour, concerts, portraits, engagements, weddings, amatuer sports and candids. I will put every effort into making images that jump off the page (or screen) and making images that exceed a client's expectations!
Flickr - The terrific thing about Flickr is it's a huge reservoir of talent and inspiration. It's a wonderful online community and it's been a very useful site for me.
Photo.net - An amazing wealth of photo advice from experienced photographers.
ModelMayhem - A fantastic site for new/advanced photographers and models to meet, critique and develop new opportunities.
Vistek - great store in Edmonton for photographic gear and advice. Vistek is clean and professional.
MySpace - a social site that acts like the wild west of the web. People come and go, but their comments stay forever. I post some of my photos on MySpace and I've made some interesting relationships there as a result.
Making explosive, exciting photos of great looking cars is something I am particularly interested and passionate about. Check my Edmonton Automotive Photography page to see how we can put together a photo shoot for your own pride and joy!
I'm like to work with models who want to have a truly engaging and animated portfolio that shows the "magnetic" side of their personality, not just a collection of "acceptable" shots. Absolutely send me a message if you'd like to work on creating something together.
